Birthdays Then & Now...
3/12: I recently came upon a blog post I wrote five years ago for my daughter as we were getting ready to celebrate our March birthdays, which are just days apart. I've tweaked it just a bit, and have posted it here with wishes that in the year ahead her life is filled with love, success, health, happiness...and all of the very best life has to offer. xoxo

If I Knew Then What I Know Now...

I would live a life without regrets. I would know the past is just that…over and done, and can’t be changed –no matter how hard I might try.

I would recognize worry and fear for what they really are: a complete waste of energy…because the only power I have is in this moment, right here, right now.

I would recognize the power of choice that is mine in every situation…and would do my best to focus on the positive, the lessons, and the possibilities in all circumstances.

I would live in acceptance of my limitations and faults, and accept the same in others. I would know if God had intended us to be perfect, we would be.

I would know that counting blessings and living with gratitude brings more blessings and more to be grateful for. And I would know that wanting and needing are not the same thing.

I would see difficulties and challenges for what they really are: opportunities to learn, evolve, and grow.

I would know that caring, sharing, and giving are the greatest gift I can give to myself, and others.

I would make the most of each and every moment, and find a way to live my best life, no matter what. Because this is the only true way to honor God, and the gift of life He has bestowed upon each of us. ~ Andrea
